SPECIAL PROGRAMS

FWO For Women Only

Alpine, Telemark, Snowboard

Fridays, 1:00-4:00 , January 11– February 22

The most popular program at the Bowl for women of all abilities! FWO was designed by the women who teach at Snowbowl for women skiers. This 3-hour, 6-week program combines the fun of skiing with other women with skill building in a supportive and challenging group atmosphere.

Groups are formed according to skiing/riding ability and skier's goals. Participants and their instructors discuss what they would like to accomplish in six weeks to determine their group's focus. Skiing/riding skills as well as tactics and techniques to overcome plateaus or fears are covered. Group discussion and varied teaching methods are used to enhance the positive experience that is FWO. Whether you want to be able to relax and enjoy your skiing/riding more or dial up the challenge this is the program for you.

This season FWO will only be offered on Friday afternoons starting January 11th, but we are holding Sunday afternoons open for a special session if there is enough interest to put together a group(s). Stop by the Snowsports desk or call us to let us know your interests or questions. A Sunday session can be set up so it coincides with the Sunday Kid’s Program so you can all improve your skiing or riding skills at the same time.

The Friday program is from 1:00-4:00 and includes instruction and a complimentary beverage in the Last Run Inn. One make-up day is provided at the end of the 6-week session. Sorry there are no refunds for missed lessons. Enrollment is limited and minimum group size applies and lesson time will be reduced for groups less than 4. Rental equipment not included but is available and prices are noted on the registration form. Register by January 6 and save the $10 late registration fee.

Friday, passholders $106.00*

Friday with ½ day lift tickets $163.00*

*Price if registered by January 6, 2008

Customize Your Own Group

We realize many of you have been skiing for years and the private lesson or group lesson options really don't fit with what you want to learn or how you want to learn. New this season, we are encouraging you to build your own group and create your own lesson experience for what you would like to accomplish. Grab some friends and let us know what you want. Maybe it's skiing or riding crud or powder? Maybe you want help in the moguls? Wish you could ski the trees or gates? Video analysis is a great learning tool and is also available. Create a one-time lesson or a multi-week program. Do you have a great idea but no one to join you? Visit the Snowsports School Desk and let us know what you want. We might be able to help you pull a group together. Available for adults and children ages 10 and older.

Let us help you build your program. Stop by the Snowsports School Desk or call (406)549-9777 ext 6.

Helmets

Helmets do provide significant protection. They dramatically reduce forces applied to the skull and the brain and thus reduce the potential for injuries. We encourage skiers to wear helmets. For more information about helmets, visit the National Ski Areas Association website www.lidsonkids.org . This site provides useful information on helmet sizing, research, articles and other useful information.
