Projected opening day for the 2017-2018 season is Saturday, December 2–weather permitting. We will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at first possibly more days depending on conditions. Starting Wednesday, December 20 we will be open daily except Christmas Day. Starting in March we will be closed Tuesdays and at the end of the season other weekdays will be dropped. Hours of operation are 9:30 am to 4:00pm, half day at 12:30 pm.Spring hours start March 12,–opening and closing a half hour later, open at 10:00 am, close at 4:30 pm and half day at 1:00 pm. Shuttle bus service will start Saturday, December 23. Shuttle bus operates Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (not operating Dec 25)-Shuttle bus will operate during the Christmas holidays-daily starting December 26 through January 1. Pick up near the Town Pump station (base of Grant Creek) at 8:45 am and depart from Snowbowl parking lot at 4:15 pm. Also starting January 27 a 8:25 am pick up Saturdays and Sundays will be added at the University of Montana (check with campus rec for location and details). Operated by Hellgate Transportation there is a charge of $2 one way or $3 round trip. The last day for the shuttle bus service will be Sunday, March 4.
Planning a Trip to Snowbowl–Getting to Snowbowl is easy.
Interstate 90 skirts the edge of Missoula, and Highways 93 and 200 run right through town. From Interstate 90 take exit 101 and head north on Grant Creek Road (you can see Snowbowl straight ahead). Drive about 4 miles on Grant Creek Road and turn left onto Snowbowl Road. Drive 5 more miles (veering right at intersections) and you will arrive at the Bowl. You can also fly into Missoula onDelta, United, Allegiant and Alaska/Horizon. Snowbowl is located just 20 minutes north of downtown.
