Snowbowl Winter Events for 2017-2018

October 21 & 22 – Ski Shop Open House, Noon to 4:30pm both days. Great chance to get rental equipment in good condition boards or skis at very reasonable prices, also special prices on Snowbowl clothing and other accessories.

November 12, 2017 – SOS Fair. Used gear sale at Big Sky High School 

November 12, 2017 – Last Day for the Fall Pass Sale make sure you have your season pass before prices go up.

December 1, 2017 – Last Day to Save $8 on Day Ticket Coupons: Save $8 on every day ticket by purchasing day ticket coupons before December 1–Adult, Student/Senior or Child. Available at ski shops or online at the Snowbowl Online Store 

December 2, 2017 – Opening Day of the 2017-2018 Ski Season. Weather permitting.

Snowbowl will be open daily starting Wednesday, December 20, 2017 through February 28, 2018-closed Tuesdays in March.

December ?, 2017 – Snowbowl bus service starts in late December-Shuttle bus operates Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (not operating  Dec 25)-Shuttle bus will also operate during the Christmas holidays-daily starting December 26 through January 1. Pick up near the Town Pump station (base of Grant Creek) at 8:45 am and depart from Snowbowl parking lot at 4:15 pm. Starting January 27, a 8:30 am stop at the University of Montana will be added. Operated by Hellgate Transportation there is a charge of $2 one way or $3 round trip. Last day for the service is March 4, 2018.

December 25, 2017 – Closed for Christmas. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

December 27, 28 & 39, 2017 : Snowbowl Ski School Holiday session. Three day program for kids of all ages and abilities.

Learn to Ski-Board Tuesdays: Celebrate Tuesdays in January at the Bowl. Tuesdays in January are days with special prices –half price lessons (group and non-requested privates), half price GSF learn to ski-ride package and free use of the beginner tow. Starting January 2nd and continuing through January 30, 2018.

January 6 & 7, 2018 Kids’ Six-Week Program Begin with Orientation and Registration – This will be optional orientation day of the program followed by six regular days ending in the weekend of February 15th and 16th.You will meet our instructors. We’ll help you decide what program is best for your kid(s) with free mini lessons and skiing on beginner lifts-9:30 to 11:00am both days.

January 5, 2018 For Women Only Begins– FWO was designed by women skiers for women skiers! Friday afternoons for six-weeks. Take the afternoon off, ski with your friends or make some new ones and become a better skier.

January 13 & 14, 2018 Missoula YSL Race. Two days of slalom racing on Sunrise Bowl, hosted by MSEF this is a Northern Division  event.  

January ??: Northern Division Freestyle Event. This event, sanctioned by the USSA, draws the best skiers in the area for moguls, freestyle competition and jumping.

February 24 & 25, 2018:  Snowbowl Cup Gelande ChampionshipThis event features spectacular ski jumping of up to 200 feet using alpine equipment. This event attracts national media as well as jumpers from all over the U.S. $8000 cash purse. Annually, the last weekend of February.

March 1, 2018: Open 6 days a week. Snowbowl is closed on Tuesdays in March.

March 3, 2018: Girls on Shred. Event for the girls. Come up and ride with other girls for the day—organized by Board of Missoula girls department, free to participate (you need a day ticket or season pass) and prizes at the of the day

March 3 & 4, 2018: Thirtieth Annual Snowboard Jam and Demo Days .  Presented by Board of Missoula Board Shop.  Slopestyle-Saturday and Banked Slalom-Sunday. Free Demos on Saturday and Sunday from Burton, Lib Tech, Gnu, Arbor & Never Summer.   Registration in the Last Run Inn from 9:30-11:00am.   Sponsored by Board of Missoula Board Shop, check their web site for more details https://www.facebook.com/boardofmissoula

March 11, 2018: Vertical Challenge. Event to see who can rack up the most vertical feet in one day. Two person team event. Click here to register

March 12, 2018: Switch to Spring Hours. Open and close a half-hour later-open at 10:00AM and close at 4:30PM, half-day at 1:00PM.  Open Wednesday to Sunday after March 17.  Operating days in April to be announced.

March 12, 2018: Three for Two Promotion-Get a Free Day Ticket for This Ski Season! You ski any two days from March 12 to the end of the season and your third day is free.  Conditions apply-you must keep both lift tickets attached to your jacket individually and present them attached to the ticket window on your free day.  Tickets that are unattached or mutilated in any way will not be accepted.

March 18, 2018: Best of the Bowl! Popular end-of-the-year race to find out who the best skiers, with Alpine, Telemark and Snowboard divisions judged on speed and style down the Grizzly Chute.  Sponsored by Pepsi and Summit Beverage.

March 25, 2018: North Dakota Downhill. Slide and glide contest on the North Dakota Downhill trail. Registration is free; there are lots of prizes and fun for all ages and abilities. From 1pm to 3pm-register on the North Dakota. Sponsored by Pepsi.

April 8, 2018: Last Day for the 2017-2018 Season.  Free Barbecue for skiers on the last day! Check under “Hours, Shuttle Bus and Location” for operating days at the end of the season or check the snowreport.

June 23, 2018: Start of the Summer Season . Snowbowl will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the summer for chairlift rides, mountain biking, hiking, pizza and the new Zip Line Tour!
